Intended use and limitations
xucRun is intended for experienced home users and developers on personally administered Windows PCs and in personal development and test systems. It is not a solution for unattended elevation, centralized privilege management, production environments, or systems requiring an elevated level of protection. xucRun has neither been developed nor tested or certified for such uses. Before use, its suitability, configuration, and potential effects must be evaluated in an appropriate test environment, and necessary data backups must be created. Such evaluations and backups may only reduce risks; they do not guarantee the software's suitability or secure or damage-free operation.
Security limitations
No specific quality, functionality, suitability, or availability is assured. Software defects, incorrect use, and malware may cause erroneous or unauthorized program launches, unintended system or data changes, data loss, and financial or other consequential damage. Among other consequences, credentials and other user data may be disclosed, altered, misused, or deleted. An up-to-date Windows system, carefully managed accounts and permissions, and appropriate data backups may reduce risks but do not rule out such damage or the compromise of user data. To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for resulting damage or other consequences. Mandatory statutory liability provisions remain unaffected.
Software provision and liability
xucRun and xucRun Tray are provided as open-source software. The license texts published with the software and mandatory statutory provisions govern.
